ICP Test

Can i leave my truck in nuetrual and rev it to 4k to check my twin pump ICP?

2004.5 Mods: CTS, Lots Of Gauges, 7 inch Stack, ARP Studs, Tuned by Eric, SAP Diesel Full Fuel System, WEP Ported Intake Manifold, Mechman Alt, BPD 6 Phase Ficm, BPD Oil Cooler, BPD Oil Bypass, Warren 350cc conventionals, SAP Diesel/Warren Diesel Twin Pump Kit, SAP Diesel Triple Turbos and SAP Diesel Trans in Progress.

No, because ICP is load specific, just like boost.

Just put it on the road and stand on it for a while lol

How many gpm is your secondary pump at 4k rpm? I had a crude formula figured out to see how much flow is needed, based on injector size. Idk how accurate it is. I will see if I can dig it up.

I know my pump is sized right I just need to check for leaks and I'm afraid of smoking the trans before Purdue lol

Just start it up Gary and see how it runs and drives. If all is well, then just head to Purdue. I think as long as the pump isn't too big, then I can't see how it is possible to "default ICP". Unless I'm missing something, with the IPR valve fully open, the secondary pump would have to be flooding the HPO system to be able to cause a constant 4k+ psi in the rails. I think if this is happening, you're probably going to have other problems too.
