03 turbo or not?

I have the chance to buy an 03 turbo tomorrow morning for 350. It has 95k miles but no play at all. Is it worth the money? When I finally decide to get my turbo built from Adrian would the 03 whistle still be there?

I would probably buy that turbo, sounds like a good deal. And yes Adrian can make your new turbo with the 10 bladed turbine wheel out of the 03 turbo. So you will still have that whistle with your new turbo.

i still have my 04 stock turbo only 1.8k on it haha but i love the whistle too much

ok the muffler more or less gives the powerstroke the throaty v8 rumble, i removed my muf first so im not sure how much it will restrict it...

you could take your muffler find some way to remove the flanges then take it to a shop and have them weld a straight pipe in it and through it back on. looks stock but sounds better

i wouldnt buy it for the its sound because even though he can give you the 10 blade wheel he likes to put in the 13 blade. i would just talk to him i would buy and maybe resell it or keep as a backup, but if your getting a mtw not worth it it will sound different.

You lost the boost because it is a measure of restriction to the air flow. The cat is a big restriction. You were still flowing the same amount of air.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Since you are sending it to the Mad turbo man to be built it will get all freshened up and will have the whistle you want and run great. GO FOR IT
