Edge CTS and WIF light

Last night I installed my CTS. Looks great and seems to work fine as well. Except for the fact that my WIF light came on right after I installed the unit. I turned truck off, drained the fuel filter and tried again. Still had the light. Drained it again with the same results. I checked the trouble codes and notices that when I navigate away from the gauges screen the WIF light goes away and then comes right back on when I go back to the gauges screen. Anyone have this problem before?? Thanks guys

Alright. I got a reason for this occurrence by calling Edge directly. Great customer service by the way. When I explained what was going on, he knew exactly what the problem was. He said that a few years back Bully Dog did a "try before you buy" type program that they would flash into your truck. Even when that flash is overwritten by another tune, the computer retains a small file that will cause the WIF light to come on when a CTS is plugged into the OBD port. The only way to remedy the problem is to have the truck flashed back to comlete stock settings. So, into the shop the truck goes for a reflash. I will update after I get the flash done.

My thoughts exactly. Kinda weird that it was designed to retain the file.... At any rate, I hope this fixes the problem. That light is annoying when there is no actual problem

I've heard a lot of people having problems with programmers after a bullydog has been installed but this is the first problem I've heard of from a monitor. They do leave all sorts of crap in the ecu.
