im sorry but I dont wanna bust anyones SCT bubble... but have you used the gauge to check your temps, and other items to see the health of your newer diesel?
your gonna wanna make sure your going to want to make sure your Engine coolant temp (ECT) and engine oil temp (EOT) are no more then 15 degrees apart. if they are your going to want to fix it right away. best test is to.
1. fully warm up truck
2 cruise above 60 like 65-70 ofr like 10-15 mins. mine is around 6 right now. if its above 15 need to have your oil cooler, possibly egr cooler situation corrected.
would be a bad idea to check your FICM voltage if your scanner can. make sure its above 46 volts.
change the fuel and oil filter with the ford OEM filters they are little more then the autozone crap but worth it in the end by 150%.
install a coolant filter from:
xdp, A few other but cant remember.
once your truck is all good then run a custom tune.
if you've already done this sorry to waste your time I just hear everyone tellin you to get a tuner first etc...
