Synthetics? Long life synthetics?

I am getting ready to put synthetics in and would like to know what I should use. Are there any that do long lasting like 20k miles? Also if you could be specific on front and rear end, transmission, and oil.

Thanks!!

There are several engine oils that go that longer than 5k and are proven to work great, but with as finicky these engines are I didn't want to be the first to do it.

For example AMS Oil is supposed to go well over 25k per change.

Amsoil has been proven to not to. Just cause they say so that doesn't mean on HEUI motors they can. Redline is very very high quality. Someone has a chart of the different grades and where the brands fall.

Amsoil will not go 25k miles in a 6.0, nor will any other oil. You may get 10k with testing. Generally I would suggest a 7500 mile OCI with synthetic motor oil.

Got questions about your 6.0?

With 240K on my original injectors I have run several brands of synthetic oils. My personnel recommendations: Mobil 1, Valvoline Extreme Blue, Delo 400 LE, and Rot T6.

If you decide to save money an go 20+k on oil changes it will cost you.
