That is a loaded statement. Your truck should run just fine on the SCT pre-installed tunes. So, are you playing on words and momma wants more performance, or is your truck acting like a lame dog? If it is the latter, then you have to know what you might need to fix before installing a custom tune or know how the tune would fix your problem.

With stock studs, your biggest concern is your right foot and a hot tune. Cylinder pressure will be your biggest obstacle to longevity. I would steer clear of tunes that advance the timing (SOI) too much. You probably don't want a tune that spends most of its time at 8-12 BTDC, especially with large PWs (2.2-2.6). However, if you don't beat on it too often, even that would be OK. The other issue you may see occasionally is flash boil when you do put your foot into it. This is a wake-up call for you, because it looks similar to a head-gasket issue when it pukes. You must make sure you don't play too hard for too long (even if your EGTs look good) or you will super-heat the EGR cooler. If you stop soon after, it will flash boil the coolant.

So pick one, they all are about the same with a few small differences (some like, some don't) and levels of performance. Learn how to tweak it with the SCT variables and enjoy. But remember one thing, "If you break it, you bought it. No one did it to you!"

Thanks guys. I found out that the boost sensor is bad which is why I'm having some problems. Getting it replaced today. But she's quick as chit after eating at a Mexican restaurant.
