Muffler

I have a 2006 crew cab , long bed, 4x4 , 6.0 diesel ... I recently had a straight pipe put on it ... 4 inch from the turbo back .... And it's a little to loud for me ... When I get along side of a wall and gas it ... It echoes real bad in the truck ... Don't get me wrong ... It sounds bad *** with a straight pipe ... But running through the canyons .... I have to have my stereo all the way up ... So my question is ... What muffler can I put on it to kill the noise and not lose power .... And it's straight pipe ... Mrbp ...No cat no nothing ...where can I buy one cheap and it just bolt up

Muffler

Just an open muffler like most if not all the aftermarket exhaust systems sell. Mbrp, magnaflow, banks, etc
It will remove the loud straight piped 'brak' sound when WOT etc and make it a more smoothed out tone. I kinda got tired of that braaaak sound at WOT myself. Reminded me of an old gasser 350 when they wld be straight piped. Lol

A lot of people on here swear by the Donaldson muffler.
Just search Donaldson muffler, there's threads with videos.

I've got a banks muffler on a 4 inch system now. Sounds good...but I only went with banks cause I found it cheap on craigslist. If I was buying a new system it'd be a 5" magna flow or mbrp.

I haven't heard of Donaldson...I'll have to check em out.
