SPOOL VALVE STICTION POLISHING

WELL I tried it today after following Twoicebergs threads very close!! Here was the candidate a 2007 f350 dually!! When started cold will not get out of its own way! blows white smoke real bad, misses real bad on 4,7,1,8 and after it warms up runs like ok! ran it by the boss because the truck was just traded in and the sale department said give it try what do we have to lose!! Im all smiles at this point and I called Lilpooh to let him know!! I love experiments!!!! I pulled all 8 and got some 600 grit and 800 grit with a pale of distilled water! you need a 4mm socket and a 10 torques bit to take long bolt out!! here are some pics and movie of what it sounds like afterwards!! I still have to wait for tomorrow as this will be the real test cold to see if it starts and runs fine!!

I still can't believe that this isn't more widely known, a cheap easy fix for one of the most common problems of the 6.0. Thanks Jaugernaut for trying this.

Actually the props go out to Sheldon and one or 2 of his buddies for sharing this. I only brought it here for more to see it. I had wondered if this would work, but I don't have any injectors that are sticking. I have only done this on carburetor and hydraulic pump parts and it worked well. Sometimes the tolerances of the parts make all the difference as to what may work.

As Dale says, what have you go to loose, except a bit of time! Thanks for picking up the ball and running with it.

Sheldon is the guy who makes an AWESOME set of injectors and owns Renegade Diesel. Great guy and SUPER knowledgable when it comes to injectors. I recommend him to everyone. Ive dealt with two sets of his injectors and BOTH sets pur like kittens.
