Question about selling my SCT tuner

Hey. I'm tying to sell my SCT X3

I had it on my 06 6.0 with innovative street, xtreme street, and Eco tunes.

I unmarried it before I sold the truck

Will the tunes still be on the tuner and will someone else be able to use those tunes?

I have someone interested that has a 06 as well but not sure what to tell him.

Re: Question about selling my SCT tuner

If the tunes are vin locked, which they probably are, then no. No one else will be able to use them.

He would have to have the exact strategy that you had. I don't think the tunes are VIN locked, but they are locked to the SCT serial #.

If the tuner asked for your vin number when ordering the tunes then they are vin locked. It doesn't need to be the exact same strategy but in the same strategy family. A tune written for an 03 isn't going to run on an 05 because of the strategy family.
