I just bought a sct 3015. It was originally on a mustang but it says it is unmarried. Trying to put it on a 2006 f350 6.0 What do i need to do to install this on my truck?

download the sct updater program from sct.

download the latest tune revision and firmware

update the firmware and tune revison

when you plug in the tuner your going to want to go to the truck info and write down the strategy numbers/letter and call/ email sct to see if your strategy is compatable with the sc tuner.

plug in and play. I keep hearing elitediesel has good custom tunes. dont be crazy with hot tunes until you plan on doing headstuds etc...

note: when you update the firmware... make sure you hold the button down for a few seconds (BEFORE) you plug in the tuner or you get errors for a week and finaly get a rep to tell you you've been doing it wrong lol...

If its the 3015, just plug into OBii truck, program vehicle, strategy tune ( NOT custom ) and then follow on screen steps. Can update it to latest firmware as listed above but really shouldn't need to if using a preloaded tune

Thanks guy I actually had to call sct and have them remote connect to my computer to update it. They said it was so out of date that the auto update software was not recognizing it because it was to out of date. All good and fixed now though.
