Yet Another Potential Product From BPD?!?!?!
Well as it stated I have insider information on a new product that may eventually released to the public.
There is NO set in stone plans to release it as of yet. Also no set in stone target pricing or availability as of yet. As you all know they just released their new Remote Oil Cooler Kit and that will keep them busy for a while so this may be a ways off if they decide to release it for purchase. What is it you ask?? Well I'll tell you. We all know how the OEM CAC has the plastic end caps that can and do fail just like the radiators and the plastic CAC tube. Well BPD has a solution for that problem and the problem with purchasing another OEM unit that has the same plastic end caps that can and do fail. It's release would also alleviate having to spend upwards of $800 on a all aluminum aftermarket CAC such as Banks, Spearco, Mishimoto etc. Well this is how the process would work out. You have a OEM CAC with or without blown end caps. Potentially you would send your CAC to them and then they would clean it, pull the plastic end caps off and assemble aluminum ones then weld them to the OEM CAC. Thus leaving you with an ALL ALUMINUM CAC!!!! So here are the pictures so far and I will have my hands on mine next week sometime!! Here are the cut out pieces for the new end caps waiting to be assembled. ![]() The first aluminum end cap assembled. ![]() Both end caps assembled, waiting for the finishing welds to be done to them before they are added to the CAC. ![]() Welded up to the CAC with the piping mocked and tacked to the end caps. ![]() Finished product. ![]() What do you guys think?
