Towing with Xtreme Street tune

Has anyone ever pulled with the Xtreme Street tune from innovative diesel? I know it does not recommend it but it is such an awsome tune and it seems like it would work great towing. My travel trailer is 7500 pounds at the heaviest. Just curious if anyone has tried it or not.

Some have done it as a last option but the tranny tuning isnt set up for it and have to keep eyes on monitor. I had Eric write me a tow tune out of his street tune it was a 10k max tune with turbo brake and I liked it.

Thanks for the reply, I better not tow with it to be on the safe side. I have also heard of people towing with the sct street tune safely any opinion or experience with that.

Ya! I better just stay away from towing with the Xtreme Street. I have Head studs and gaskets on standby just in case. I am not going to stud it until I have to. I have had the engine apart before for some major repair and went back with the head bolts. I have never had to replace head bolts more than once but that has always been on fairly stock trucks though. So far I have had no problems at all as far as the head gaskets are concerned, I don't beat on my truck very often though.

The big reason not to do it is increased egt's and cylinder pressures. The tow tunes are like performance tunes for 20000 plus pounds of vehicle.

I've towed with their street tune but that was only 5000ish lbs for the most part. I did pull 12k with street as well but only about 10 miles on the highway. It made me a little to nervous lol.

Send Eric an email and he will make adjustments on the street tune for towing for you. I never used my actual tow tune
