Looking for a new turbo

Ok so my stock turbo is howling and I have oil build up in the hot side before the intercooler, so looking for a new one. So to me MTW looks like the best choice. The stage one is 775 vs an OEM for 950 or the powermax for 1200. Has any one ran the MTW stage 1? Would I have to get a custom tune for that turbo? Does some one have a different suggestion for a new turbo? My mods are 4in turbo back/w cat and muffler. I don't have an EGR delete but my thinking is just going to do it all the same time(EGR delete, tuner with gauges). I am going to buy a tuner with my turbo in case I need a special tune.

I think the stage 1 is basically an upgraded OEM core....

I'm planning a hybrid and 175/75 in the near future

Actually the stage 1 is the same size as the powermax, so it is really a bigger turbo then stock. It is an upgrade to the orginal OEM turbo.

The stage 1 will run without a tune, in most trucks 96% anyway. I have had a few that needed tuning. Hope that helps out.

So to me it seems most of y'all like MTW. I really like new sticks but not sure if I can drop 3k or more lol. I'm looking to build a pretty tame truck. Plus has it's my DD can't be down much longer then a weekend.

Sweet thanks. Now the hybrid, what is that and would I need a tune for that? The hybrid vs the stage 2. Can I run stock infesters with out studs?

Stage 1. Run with stock injectors and a tune of your choice. With a big tune, it will impress you. It impressed me and I have driven and flown some mightily impressive machines!

Studs are always a good idea if you plan on riding it hard. Unless you get larger injectors, you don't need a larger turbo, period. However, if you are thinking about it, having the larger charger is manageable with some tuning until you get the injectors.

As Adrian said, call him.
