dj fuel intensifier users click here
Can you who use dj's fuel intensifier give me some info and opinions on it. Is it worth the money? What gains did you receive from it? Did you get more smoke with it? What are some other "fuel intensifier" options I could look into? I've only heard fass, I think it is. Even if you have "friend of a friend" I'd like to hear your opinion or what you've heard from them. thanks guys. merry xmas.

fass is actually not comparable, it is a fuel pump and fuel filter assembly that separates water AND AIR from the fuel. it traps the water in a separate filter, and sends "aerated" fuel back to the tank so only clean pure diesel goes to the engine compartment. ITP makes a regulated return cross over fuel system that would be comparable, i actually think it is nicer it has a little billet cover that replaces the factory regulator, and all the crossover lines are super clean and marked and easy to install (relatively easy anyway, it's still a PITA) it comes with a new regulator and everything you need for a clean install. the DJ's kit is very similar, except that it keeps the factory piece on the fuel bowl and uses some sort of upgraded spring i think, i'm not totally sure, but STUMP has one on his excursion and he's happy with it. they basically do the same thing, which is to get rid of the factory banjo bolts and allow for more fuel flow to the engine, and they also link the 2 heads as far as fuel pressure/flow, and return unused diesel to the tank instead of deadheading at the motor like the stock setup. i am also running a FASS with it, and that has led to it's own set of problems, it turns out when you run a FASS along with a regulated return kit, you may need to have an upgraded spring installed in the FASS itself. when i put my fass and my ITP kit on, i had very LOW fuel pressure until i modded it. when stump put DJ's kit on, it made TOO MUCH fuel pressure, and the FASS actually brought it back down to a safe level, but that is not due to anything wrong with DJ's kit, they believe it just had a faulty fuel pressure regulator, the design of the system is fine. |

They eliminate the stock pressure regulator...run larger lines...and put an external pressure regulator in. Some have crossover lines and some dont. Honestly below 600HP i dont see a need for the crossover line.... |
