Best way to clean IPR Coolant Filter??

Hey Guys,

So what is the best way to clean all the crud out of the filter? What chemical to use? I don't have access to an ultrasonic cleaner.

My Ford dealer tech/friend made a bracket and installed my coolant filter on pass side radiator instead of pass side fender well. Coolant filter is installed where IPR recommends relocating the IPR External Oil Cooler to pass side of radiator. I have the BPD Engine Oil System kit on my truck with cold weather package.

Thanks,

I use toilet bowl cleaner with lime and rust remover, put some in the filter can upside down with the eliment fill with water and let it sit 15-20 minutes then go over it with a old toothbrush under running water.

Btw how did you run yours? The heater hose and degas bottle line?
