H&S on a 6.0

Well long time since I have been in this section and sad to say I miss my old 6.0. I like the power of the 6.4 but if a clean 07 crew cab or extended cab came up I would trade back in a heart beat.

Anyways, I ordered a used mini maxx for back up if you guys haven't heard about all the EPA nonsense and dpf delete tuners sky rocketing in price and wanted to make sure it worked so I went to their website and updated it for a 6.0. Took it out to our 04 6.0 dump truck and loaded up the tune. After driving around for a little bit letting the tranny relearn on the tow setting I went ahead and bumped it up to performance and boy I gotta tell ya, it ripped. I never thought a dump truck would be that quick but with 4.10 rear end it could really fly off the line. Only thing it has is exhaust on it so no other mods. Another thing I really likes is there was hardly any smoke. Even if you mashed it from a dead stop it would hardly puff then just take off. Just like Matt's tuning it was real snappy and responsive. I felt like it pulled very much like my srl tune from Matt but I will have to drive my buddies truck this week to compare. He just got his srl++ so that should be something to get a good seat of the pants feel from. Also the shifting was nice and firm and the shift on the fly is amazing.

Just thought I would pop in and give a little review. I think the mcc software works with the 6.0 so writing your own tunes and getting custom tunes is possible. I know Matt at gearhead is writing mcc files for the 6.4 so I'm sure he can do files for the 6.0. I will see you guys around and if ya don't see me in this section that means the old 6.0 is still running great. Haha.

Very interesting. I haven't heard anything about using MCC on the 6.0, but if it does work, that would be pretty sweet

On their website it doesn't say MCC for the 6.0 but hopefully it will be released soon. Its pretty cool to be able to tune your own truck if your interested in doing that. Im going to be buying MCC for my 6.4 and getting matt's tunes.
