Is Straight pipe good

Will puting a strait pipe (not cat or muffler) on my 6.0L be benificial or does it need back pressure to run properly

It will lower EGT's and give it a little more power and will run fine without them Oh and it will sound great

Do you have a programmer on your truck? A few stock 6.0's have set CEL's with a straight pipe not many though

You get enough backpressure from the turbo.

I had a straight on my'05 and it ran great!!! No check engine lights, no problems just great performance and a whole lot of cool whistle!!! I did it myself, and could change it back to stock pretty easy, infact I kept the whole set up when I sold it. I say put it on and enjoy!!

like these guys say, it's GOOD..

SOME, and i say SOME people have complained about losing some low end power, but this has only been with BONE STOCK trucks, and i'm still hesitant to believe that anyway, i've never known a turbo vehicle to need any backpressure to run right.

My Gf's Neighbours complained about my truck being to loud and that I needed a new muffler. Well I told them I just had a brand new muffler put on a month ago but its so loud because its an after market turbo..... They believed me and havnt said anything since. I had to make something up they had threatened to call me in... go figure.

Now I dont have a muffler or a new turbo. just your regular straight piped 03 6.0 that sounds insane!!! I love it.
