Is it loud?
Gents,
I just traded in my 03 Harley F150 (highly modded) for an 07 F250 for many reasons, but one of them was because my old truck was really loud in the cab and my wife hated it. On long trips, so did I. Does adding a 4" or 5" turbo back exhaust make it louder in the cab? I want the growl to stay outside. Thanks! Saint |

07s are going to be a little loud with a straight pipe but not at all if you leave a muffler in place. You're going to have more turbo whistle than anything
A straight exhaust on one of these is like having a cat back on a gasser. |

Re: Is it loud?
Wait a minute. You got rid of your highly nodded supercharged 03 Harley truck because it was loud? Whatever. Put any of the aftermarket turbo back sytems and leave the muffler on and it will be quiet enough in the cab cruising and still growl when you romp on it.
I traded my 02 Harley for my 05 Harley. I love my 05. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using AutoGuide.Com Free App |

I have a 07, 3,5" dp with the rest of the line 4" straight. Wish it was louder lol. The cab is really well insulated but from outside the sound is just incredible

i have a 05 with the diamond eye 5" kit. it has a 4" down pipe, also gutted the cat and stabbed a 5" pipe through it so i could pass emissions, then finished it off with a 5" Jones rolled ss tip. my good friend has a exhaust shop and i have heard all of the kits out there and diamond eye was the best sounding in my opinion, quiet while driving normal until you open it up then it is pure music to the ears. my buddy also mentioned that it was by far the best fitting and easiest to install.

I have an '07, with a 3.5" DP, 5" Cat Back Exhaust, with the Cat still installed.
On the highway cruising, I see more noise form the engine than anything. On the hills when over 12-15psi, the turbo starts to drown it out. Only when I get on it to pass is the growl a little much for some folks. |

I have a 5" MBRP turbo back exhaust with the muffler and it sounds great. On the highway it's pretty mellow but if I go to pass someone everyone around knows it. I'm very happy with it.
