Programmers @ WOT only?

Apparently with the hypertech, their "tuning" is under near /and at Wide open Throttle only. so putzing around town the truck is ... "stock". I was wondering if all programmers are like this, or if they retune across the throttle board? Particulary interested in the SCT's pre-programmed 3 stages.

Well I'm deff going with SCT. Apparentley they offer the X3 "empty" and in a flash version with 3 pre programmed tunes. Same with the Xcal2. Empty and flash avail. I'm looking at just getting the pre programmed flash ones. but not sure what the difference is between the X3 and the Xcal2. price is the same. 3 pre programed tunes are the same...

Looks like the Xcal3 is newer/better than the Xcal2. so I'm getting a Xcal3, with 3 pre flashed tunes... SCT gave me the part number... #3015. is that correct for the '07 6.0?

They can do whatever they want with pedal tip in. I know its very noticable with the new 6.4 tuners. Thats how they keep you from plugging up the filter during normal driving conditions or they go into regen alot.

Regen is short for regeneration mode that the new 2008's have. Its a process in which the truck cleans the diesel particulate filter of DPF which catches the soot or black smoke. That is the filter he was refering to....

IIRC, the XCal2 with the canned tunes is that is all you get...you cannot add any custom tunes.

With the XCal3, you get the 3 canned tunes, BUT you can also add 3 custom tunes.

Either one stores you stock file also.

I would suggest the XCal3 in case you ever decide to try custom tunes.
