Question New guy here looking to upgrade my 03 6.0L

Hey guys I am new to the forum here and to the 6.0 power stroke world. Although I am not new to the diesel world I have two trucks both being Dodge Cummins trucks an 04.5 & 07 that I use for work. Both of my trucks have a fare amount of modes but I am not going to compare those truck to my newly acquired 03 F250 King Ranch 4 door 4x4. With that being said I raced my friends 06 Dodge Cummins 4 door 4x4 and he took me out pretty good.
If you all could lead me the right way on performance modes that would be great. Here are a few modes that I was thinking of getting for now.
-AFE stage 2 intake
-Accufab intake
-Programmer ?
-Banks intercooler
-Turbo back exhaust ?

You probably shouldn't have to buy a new intake unless you plan on pushing 500+ hp (I believe). The stock intake is actually pretty good. Also Congrats on the new rig and welcome to the site.

Welcome to the 6.0 world!!!

Gauges, exhaust, zoodad mod, SCT (custom tuned), intake (factory intakes aren't that bad especially if you do the zoodad)....in that order.

We have an 04 around here that is running low 13s in the 1/4 right now on Innovative Diesel's Xtreme Street tune. Hold off on the elbow, for starting mods it doesn't make a big enough difference, add it later.

When you start pumping out BIG power, headstuds, upgraded turbo, injectors and FASS...then you'll be scooting along nicely.

Geez, we just give up all our secrets, don't we?!?!

You liking the KR? I love mine!!!

Thanks guys for the worm welcome. Can I stack programmers as well. I was thinking of ordering ARP head studs and new gaskets. While I am at it I was thinking of porting the cylinder heads. See I am a machinist, a grad from School of Automotive Machinist and I might as well replace the cam if they are out there.

Absolutly no need to stack anything with the SCT. The custom tunes take care of it all. And if you try to stack, the signals can get screwed up and make things worse actually.

ARP studs are a good thing...getting into porting the heads is outside my knowledge for now. So, I will leave that one up to our more experianced crew on here.

Cam's are freakin expensive for a 6.0 IF you can find one. Porting is a good thing. I'd do mine in a heartbeat if I could. Fire rings have good and bad points on the 6.0's. With the PM rods you can bend one if you get the cylinder pressures too high. Forged rods are about $2600 but you're talkin major HP also. It's MOST important that the deck surfaces are FLAT. Ford's tolerence is .001 I think. Studs and stock head gaskets will hold a lot of HP if the heads are flat.
