Fast 04s ?

Okay, so can anyone explain why 04s are so damn fast? More so than 05-07. what is different?

03 and early 04s are faster different programming turbo and a few other things.

They are also lighter.

Yea, stock to stock. Hell even the canned SCT tune performance is 30 HP more on the 04. Is it in the PCM and the FICM? What makes an 04 lighter?

Generally, the earlier flashes of the FICM and ECM are more aggressive. The suspension in the 05-07 trucks is heavier, usually a couple hundred pounds.

FIRE, any bad damage?!

Mine went MIA also, I was experimenting with under hood temps with and without the insulation.
