SCT after reflashing???

Guys I just got back my truck today after the dealership reflashed my computer and I thought I remember Vivian telling me that I had to unlock my SCT Livewire before I could reinstall my tunes?? Anybody have any idea if that is the case or if I can just plug it back in and load the tunes after my computer was reflashed??? I emailed Vivian but she hasn't responded yet..

Did you return the truck back to stock before the reflash?

you should be able to reload your tunes then depending on the reflashes new PCM code. If the code changed to a different family you may have to get new Tunes.

If you dont hear from Vivian today give them a call monday to confirm it.

Dealer re-flashed my computer and I installed my tunes right afterwards without doing anything.

The SCT "locks" to your stock flash. If you don't unlock the SCT before you install your tunes then if you go back to stock it will reload your OLD stock program. Your new factory flash will be erased IF the SCT will even load. That's the way it was explained to me. There is a stickie Vivian put up covering this at the top of the 6.0L performance parts forum.

The SCT X3 unlocks itself if there is a strategy of VIN number change, so no worries there.

The SCT Xcal2 will have to be unlocked or it will download your old factory programming the next time you return to stock.
