Head Stud and Gasket Restart

I just got done installing ARP head studs,Inner Oil Cooler,OEM Gaskets,EGR Delete. I have searched this forum and others and can not find the answer. I got the truck fired up and running but there is a popping sound coming through the intake.I have checked rockers, push rods, injectors. Is it possible that there is air in the lines causing this? Any and all suggestions are welcome. I forgot to mention is a 04 F-250.

should not be ANY popping... something is either loose, leaking, or binding

Re: Head Stud and Gasket Restart

Were the heads checked/new? Could be a bent valve or bad push rod.

No bent push rods or bent valves, or broken rockers. Took everything apart and double checked. I think the injector copper rings are smashed on an injector.?

Yes the heads were checked and machined. Also new injector cups and valve guides were installed.

Re: Head Stud and Gasket Restart

I would say a bent push rod or broken rocker. I had the same problem.

Did you get your heads machined?

How much was milled off of your heads, if it was over .008 were the valves ground also?
