Resonator or muffler

Either I'm getting old or 6 years of 2003 turbo screaming isn't as fun as it used to be. Anyway, when we were first messing with the truck, removing the resonator was what made it scream the most. Therefore, I'm leaning towards a Diamond Eye 4" resonator. Have any of you put a muffler or resonator back on to a 6.0 with a 2003 turbo? I saw Lil Pooh's before/after Summit exhaust video. The throaty part I like, but that shreik is borderline ear bleed.

Thx, Karl

I have an FTE resonator which come in two different sizes, a 12" and a 30". I got the 30" and it takes the drone and turbo whistle out quite a bit. More so the drone but some turbo whistle to. I don't have a 03 turbo so I can't give you a direct reference on the outcome. I think mufflers seem to do more work then the resonators in my opinnion. Another option you could do but is more costly is a new turbo from MAD turbo werks. I think he can make a turbo that has less whistle then your 03 yet makes more power then what you got.

If your mind is on the exhaust work though try giving FTE a call, they have great customer service and speacialize in muffler and resonator work

I'm also getting kinda old. I have a 4" Diamond Eye turbo back on my early 04 and I installed the muffler. No resonator or cat. Sounds good. No drone but a good whistle when you get in it. Not loud when cruising.
