SCT question

so everynow and then i like to change up my tunes, so i thought maybe i will try the Tow file to see how it drives... i load it up and start the truck. it starts fine then idles really funny. it had a bad lope to the idle, ran kinda like a harley if that makes sense or something with a large cam in it. i reved it up a bit and it sounded fine but then when it came back down to idle it did it again. i put it back to stock with no problem, ran great.. just real weak. so i get hte street file put back on and it also runs good. is this how the tow file is supposed to run??

But, I doubt the file should run like that. I'd call DJ or Vivian about that one.

Yea I would call them, and to me it sounds like a timing problem.

Yeah, I hear ya.

I dont think it should be idling like that. I haven't heard about tow files doing that unless something is outta whack.

If you don't need it this weekend, I'd wait and give them a holler.

Wish I could help ya and compare, but I only have Innovative's.

well i wasnt gonna tow anything and it runs fine now, i just like to see how the flies are compared to each other. just havin some fun, but the fun ended when it idled like that.

I hear ya on that one...Eric gave me some X Street files to try out...one was exactly what I was looking for, the other had something that wasn't just right. We believe something got corrupted in the email or transfer. But it was so weird I actually pulled to the side of the road and put the other file back in. There is so much involved with these files, it is crazy!!

No, the tow file idle same as the others maybe a bug when you receive your email. I try my new tow file with cold fix today and everything was fine

i have the same problem. when i installed the tow tune it started doing that. sounds like its runnin on 2 cylinders and blows alot of black smoke. it also does it on the street tune .after it warms up for about 2 minutes its fine. i called viv and she and dj told me it was a lazy injector but i took it in and they found nothing. i then tried the economy tune for the heck of it and it seems to work fine. vivian sent me a street with cold fix but havent tried it yet cause the economy tune gets awesome mileage. with diesel fuel as high as it is, im gonna continue runnin the economy for a while.
