Tuning

Ok so i live in CT and there are no popular tuning shops near by, I'd like to know how custom tuning works and which tuner you guys like best, I personally want to get the newest livewire for my 6.0L powerstroke or go to PHP and get their Gryphon CS because money is an issue and i would like to be able to monitor. Any and all suggestions are welcome

For custom tunes, you just call up the tuner of your choice, give them a list of your mods, the vehicle strategy and the SCT serial number; and they send you tuens that are custom written based on the mods that you listed. If you want adjustments made, just call and have them adjust the tune. Eric is probably the closest tuner to you, but honestly, unless you have serious injector and turbo upgrades, live tuning is not worth the money.

Go with Vivian's looney tune had it on my 6.0 and loved it no need for live tuning that's how she gets her tunes where she does so it is already perfect unless you plan on doing a lot of modifications you will be fine

I just got the looney tune for my 6.0 from vivan in florida. Excellent customer service too!! sent my info to her at 5:30pm and by 7pm friday night i had my tune. i love it and it was only 50 bucks. just look up quicktricks auto.com. she tuned the tranny too so it will handle the power and its tty bolts safe.

Eric writes the tunes for innovative diesel. I am in agreement with the benefit of dyno tuning not being worth the effort and $. Who ever you will have write your tunes will write the file to have less cylinder pressure to help the flaw of TTY bolts but NO tune is completely safe.

The gryphon modules that we offer function similar to the new livewire in the aspect that the module tunes and can be utilized as a digital monitor.

The Gryphon is a great product. I prefer SCT, but both are good options. The major tuners, including PHP can tune via SCT. Only PHP tunes can be used on the Gryphon. I always like to try tunes form several tuners, especially since tunes are cheap and most truck respond differently to different tunes. You get your strategy by plugging your SCT into the OBD II port and telling it to read strategy. I believe there is a sticky that tells you how to do it. When you order tunes, just make sure to telll the tuner that you have stock TTY bolts, and they will write your tune accordingly.

We carry SCT products and tunes for them as well. Jody has been tuning 6.0L's since 2005 so he knows a thing or two about them.

If you are looking for a programmer/monitor, we also have another option besides the Livewire TS. Our Infinity programmer/monitor is the most advanced product of it's kind. It will hold an unlimited amount of tunes, monitor generic and enhanced Ford PID's, read/clear DTC's, run tests(KOEO/KOER, buzz, glow plug, cylinder contribution), datalog, play media, and a whole lot more. You can check it out HERE if you would like more information on it.

If you have any questions or would like anymore information, don't hesitate to contact me through PM or e-mail.
