#6 Injector Stuck in place
I have never seen this before nor have I had this happened to me.
i was replaceing some injectors last night in an 06 and the injector hold-down failed. The bolt came right out of the Hold-down and the injectore never moved at all. This thing is stuck like a 7.3 Injector and nowhere to get ahold of it to pull it out. I have a few Ideas I will let you know if any of them work... Anybody ever seen a 6.0 injector Physically stuck? |

is it caught on the rocker arm? I've seen this before and had to remove a stud and rocker assembly to get the injector out. Kept having the same problems, turns out it had a bent pushrod and the valve job was improperly done.

not caught on any thing that I can tell just lost the keeper on the injectore hold down so it wont pull up

I would double check, and check well. I didn't see it at first, it was caught on the bolt the holds the solenoid onto the body, it was very hard to see.

which injector? you're gonna find a copper washer failed and the cup/injector trashed.
if it's a front cylinder you can weld a nut to the injector body and slide hammer it out. if it's a rear cylinder you may be out of luck unless you can devise some kind of puller. |

Re: #6 Injector Stuck in place
Had this same thing happen on a buddy's 6.0 on cyl 7. If you have new injectors to go in...remove the head bolt and rocker assembly closest to it. I know not the best idea but it worked for me. Then I used a pair of vice grips and a wrench....I can't remember what size but it fits nicley on the body of the injector. Then with the wrench wiggle it side to side while using the vice grips as leverage and pull up. After about 5min it popped out for me. The other option is head removal.
