I took my truck to a shop and they hooked a scanner to it and said it pulled a "U" code and that i had the wrong ficm. Could that be from having a mix matched ficm like a 4 pin power supply match with a 7 pin logic board or 7 pin power supply matched with a 4 pin logic board?

Actually, I believe Innovative now sells a FICM tuner that you can buy, for like $350

They will not go together.
4 PIN. ![]() 7 PiN will have 7 holes and 7 screws where you see the 4 at above. They are incompatible. |

Sorry if I did not make myself clear, I took the entire 4 pin Ficm out and replaced it with a completly diffrent 7 pin ficm

Almost anytime you install a FICM in the truck that has not been flashed specifically to that truck it will set that code.
It will not affect drivability or overall performance of the vehicle. |
