Post 03-07 Ford 6.0 Complete EGR Delete Kit with STC HPOP Fitting Kit

I purchased a kit titled "03-07 Ford 6.0 Complete EGR Delete Kit with STC HPOP Fitting Kit" from user customdiesel123 aka Custom Diesel Manufacturing. The price was right at $275. I had my mechanic who is a certified Ford Powerstroke mechanic look over the kit. We agreed that it is a complete kit and has all the parts necessary to perform the job.

I'll be having the kit installed in the next month or so, once I decide whether to purchase an IPR remote oil cooler or replace my stock cooler. Of course the IPR is my preferred choice (actually the BPD kit but is, but it is unaffordable right now).

I'll be leaving the EGR valve in the manifold to avoid getting engine codes (I hope).

This is a very long read but I highly recommend you read this thread:

Which remote oil cooler?

In this thread, questions arise about pressure drops, temp senders and their locations in regards to IPR's kit. This thread generate great discussion between the BPD kit and IPR's kit. IPR has yet to convey the necessary information about pressure drops on their system, has yet to refute the fact the filter they use in their kit is not rated for the 6.0 and when asked about flow data for that filter, they indicated they have yet to receive an email back from Wix with that data.

I highly encourage you to read that thread.

^^ What he said. Save the extra money and do the BPD kit if your going to buy a remote oil cooler kit. BPD is tried and true whereas IPR (may eventually get there) hasn't provided any of the information to prove their kit was tested prior to selling to the open market and will not provide any proof that their kit will maintain OEM specifications of the oil system in the 6.0L PowerStroke Diesel engine. Until that happens I would stay away from that kit and either go OEM rebuild or go full on with the BPD Remote Oil Cooler Kit.
