HELP WITH SCT X3!!

i tried to use my buddys sct flash after recently removing my banks 6 gun tuner. i tried loading a preloaded street tune from the sct and it wouldnt find my truck on the tuner. i dont know if i need to reset the keep alive memory or the pcm. if so how exaclty do i do that. or can i not use the sct because his truck is already on it?

If it is still locked to his truck you can not use it. He has to set his truck back to stock and unlock the SCT before you can use it. Be ware that you can only unlock a certain number of times

VIN locked to your buddy's truck. Be careful cause you two are going to use up the "unlocks". Then it's $150 to get them back. The SCT is designed to be used on one truck at a time. As long as you tune/detune the same truck the unlocks will not expire. Once you switch to a different truck an unlock is used. So the SCT is really only good for 5 unlocks.

man i sure appreciate it. i couldnt figure it out, now knowing that i will be ordering my own SCT. rode in his '05 with sct and it is no comparison to the banks. blew it out the water

Be ware that you can only unlock a certain number of times

Agreed this isn't a good unit to share it will cost him a use

and it needs to be unmarried from his truck first

so if i unlock his and put mine on then i have to unlock mine right after so he can use it on his or once both trucks are unlocked it will share?
in simpler terms everytime its plugged to a different truck it uses and unlock?

and so the banks isnt encrypted in my pcm or kam?

it is like paying per use per vin lock and has 6 from the factory so every time you vin lock to a new truck you loose a life ,, when none are left it has to be reset for the 150$
fee back to the full use life ,, and it can't have 2 trucks programed at the same time
