SCT XCAL2!!!

Just got my xcal 2. I switched from edge juice w/attitude. All I have to say is wow. The transmission shifts WAY better and the power is much smoother. I have one question though. The edge has defueling. Does the SCT defuel because it doesnt feel like it... Also I am having problem downloading more than one tune onto it. I can download the first tune. On the second tune it says deleting then file download failed...

By the way I am using tunes from Bill at Dfuser. The Dfuser power tune is just insane... 180hp...massive smoke....

I drove around town for about an hour just testing it out. Ended up having to stop by the gas station and refuel... Saw a duramax at the gas station and raced him.... Put one on the board for the powerstroke...

o yea an he had a hypertech programmer also...

darsey had it right, It will keep going till something goes pop. I'm glad you got the SCT. Call bill tomorrow, hell call him tonight and see what he says on the sct not letting you upload the other tunes. make sure you watch the EGT and boost on the race file from bill. the EGT where never really a problem for me but the boost can go way up with that file. my 04 i had was making 35psi on that file.

yea im not gonna run the power file.. its really too much power for a poor college kid who cant afford to fix a blown up engine/tranny. The 120hp tune is enough for me..

Bill mentioned I should use the defuel feature on my edge programmer. Is it really that bad that the sct tunes dont defuel?? Does anyone defuel with SCT?

If you dont defuel your engine has full power while shifting between gears. If you do defuel it cuts power (defueling) between gears placing less stress on the tranny.
