So far happy with my predator

I bought a predator off ebay for $85 shipped. It looks like brand new but anyway I downloaded the latest version off of the website and loaded it on the predator.

I was a little hesitant about buying a predator because I know it has somewhat of a bad rap on this site. But for $85 I said what the hell. I loaded the 60hp tune and I have to say that I have been impressed so far. I was worried about how the tranny would shift but it feels really good. A little firmer than stock but not jerky at all.

Now I am sure that the SCT is better and I would really like to have some of dptuner's tunes on there but for what I paid for the predator I cannot see spending $380 for the SCT and another $135 for the modified tunes.

This is just my 2 cents. I did not load the older version on my truck so I don't know how they were but the new version has impressed me. I just wanted to post this in case somebody else out there finds a good deal on a predator. I would say if you do get one go to best buy and get the ac adaptor and serial to usb cable so you can get the latest revisions. I'm happy with it and really glad I gave it a chance.

absolutely! i also need an exhaust. i'll just have to wait till the gauges are in before i will feel comfortable running it hard.

Yeah for sure! I put a quad commander in my dad's 06 truck and its totally stock. I was shocked at how high the egt's were stock. So yes take it easy until you get your supporting mods done
