intake elbow swap
Found a 06 elbow ($40) for my 03. Wondering if anyone has done this, and is it worth it?

You'd have to remove your throttle plate assembly due to the height difference and I'm not sure what issues that may or may not cause with the PCM. With some flash versions even unplugging your EGR valve causes fan clutch engagement issues. Anyway, all you would gain is a cleaner looking engine.

Not worth it on an 03,the throttle plate is just a spacer on an 03.

Yes, throttle plate- butterfly valve (first pic). Second pic is what the late '04-07 truck elbows look like, less clutter.
