You'll like that 64mm then...it sounded really nice and had that really nice big block bark.

You sir are fixing to open a big can-o-worms.

I have a couple of options. I could try the Adrenaline pump, but I honestly don't think that it will be enough for the injectors, and I don't want to have to worry about HPO so I am pretty much set on dual pumps.

For dual pumps I have a couple of options. I could build my own using a cheap hydraulic pump. That is possible, I would be enlisting the help of Jeremy and Sheldon. Jeremy's truck was running a dual HPOP years ago, even before Ellerton built his setup. Pretty much all the same idea. Cheap hydraulic pump acting like a lift pump for the stock HPOP. If I go that route, there will be some trial and error to get the pump and pulley sized correctly, and some fab work.

Another option is to just buy Jesse's dual HPOP setup, at least the pump and mounting system. That would take some of the guess work out for me, as Jesse has already done the leg work for it. Fun Fact: Jeremy and Sheldon had a pretty big part in getting that dual HPOP kit figured out, so it would be pretty much the same result as if I built my own.

The final and slightly more costly option is a version of Elite's dual HPOP. Tadd offered a group buy on his mounting hardware, so I would have to source the HPOP from dieselsite and fab my own lines but that would be a true twin HPOP. As you know, I am a little hesitant to work with Elite, so I don't know that I will be going that route. I am also uncertain if two stock pumps would be too much HPO for my 255s and I could have trouble dialing it in. At the moment,

I am leaning towards Jesse's pump with my own Hard lines, but nothing is set in stone. I won't be putting on the dual HPOP until I am ready to start fabbing up the turbos so I can make sure everything fits. None of that will be done until after my trip to Montana, so I have some time to figure things out.

Sounds like it's going to be an impressive build! What's your goal, in terms of power? And it's amazing that those 255's seem to be so well tempered, even if it is on stock programming. I've heard 205's that had an absolute crazy lope when the truck was just idleing. Everything that I've heard Sheldon do, has come out great.

Who's tuning are you going to run when you get everything in place?

Cool. Sounds good man. I'm with you on the dual pump setup over the Adrenaline pump. Best of luck regardless which way you go.

The only problem with that setup is the fact that at WOT the pump used in Jesse's kit can actually pull so much oil through it that it can pull the oil level down in the pan so much that the pickup tube can't pull oil for the rest of the engine. The pump Jesse uses is actually spec'd at 3.5 gallons a minute at 4000 psi. Jeremy, Sheldon and Ellerton actually have spec'd a different pump that flows 1-2 gallons a minute @ 4000 psi for their new setups as to not cause any problems in the bottom end from starving the LPOP of oil.

Gonna be a SWEEEEET build Adam. Good luck bud and when you get it done you need to take a trip down south a little and bring it here to Ohio for me to play with .

I am very impressed with how smooth the truck idles. Sheldon did a great job with the injectors. I am pretty sure he said he built them without plugging spill ports so they idle like stock injectors will. They actually idle better than my industrial inectors did, but those were just stock with the spill ports plugged to get to 155cc (how they thought that would make 190s is beyond me).

For tuning, I am not 100% sure, but I have been talkign to Mike from KEM about having him tune it. He said he spends time in Chicago, and usually comes to Platteville for the dyno day in the spring, so he would be close by. Also, he would tune the FICM to match, which is a plus. I know there are tuners who have been able to get more power out of trucks, but Mike has been doing it for a long time and has tuned plenty of trucks with compounds. Besides, I don't think I can push this truck too hard with tuning, I still have to convince my rods to stay in the block...

As for my horsepower goal, I don't really have one. I just want lots. I'd love to get into the 11s in the quarter but more importantly, it still has to be functional as a truck. I guess 700 would be my goal

Sounds good man. Do you have a projected finish date for the build? Remember, spend that money on your truck fast! Or something else will come and claim it. Whether it be the girlfriend, house, repairs, Obama, travels, etc...
