Going Turbo back, some questions
Ok, thought i was just going to do a cat-back... but the price difference is a joke. Might as well do turbo back. I've been searching around and Magnaflow and MBRP have my attention. I'm looking at keeping my stock cat to stay legal. When they say turbo back, does that include a Down pipe or not? IF not, then these "turbo back" systems are really Downpipe back right? I want to do 4", single, Stainless, but not polished out. Is there any real differences between the Magnaflow and MBRP? Oh, and I also want it to utilize the factory barbed hangers. Any tips/opinions would be great guys. thanks.

The MBRP systems are TB and you reuse your factory cat.... you have the optional "off-road use only" tester pipe you can buy to take off the cat
and if you want SS but not polished go with the 409SS

It does include the downpipe. I doubt there is any "BIG" difference between the two. ss is ss. It should be set up to use all the hangers, I don't know cuz mine dumps below my cab but I would assume. sry no help with that question.

so the turbo back systems inlcude a down pipe... nice. so which one should I go with???
Leaning more toward Magnaflow. They offer a "tuner" turbo back and then a regular turbo back. What is the difference? Last edited by JBakerFX4; 11-04-2007 at 02:52 PM. |

Just have to figure out what is the difference between the "tuner" and regular turbo back from magnaflow now.

its just the size of the DP... Tuner version is a lil bigger.... don't quote me but i think its 4" and the regular version is 3.5"

From what I gathered, the Tuner also comes with a 3.5" DP, Just doesn't has a different "flange". the regular system uses the stock style "flange". whatever they are talking about... I gotta go look at my truck tomorrow.
