What turbo and injectors???

If my injectors turn out the be bad I'm sure I'll upgrade. But with what?, I was thinking a hybred and 175/stock??

I want the most power I can get just shy of killing the trans.

My enclosed and race car are about 7,500-10,000 lbs Is about the most I ever tow unless I rent a machine for yard work, I say a MAX of 20-25,000 rarely.

When I talked to Jesse on the phone, something he suggested based on what I want to tow was 175/30 or 155/30 with a Hybrid or Stage 2. I asked about 175/stock and he said they'll work too. I just don't think the price difference from 175/stock to 175/30 is worth the gain you get from the injector. I think a 175/stock coupled with a Hybrid or Stage 2 (which is what I'm buying when I get back from Florida) would be an excellent combo for daily driving/towing/whatever else you find yourself doing.

Call him and talk to him. Get some info from him. Great dude to talk to, very helpful and hooked me up on my sticks.

Oh, and chances are, 175/stock with a Hybrid aren't gonna kill your transmission....unless it's already on it's way out.

Thanks, that's pretty much what i was thinking.

I could easily build a fuel system if I had to, I have an extra a-1000 laying around because it wasn't enough for the race car.

I'm wondering if it has a fuel problem now, it only smokes during spool up, pulls hard 50-70% throttle, but just isn't there at full throttle.

The pressure dosnt drop though, that's why I'm thinking either injector problem or they're just maxed out.

Have you at least done the blue spring upgrade? It was the cheapest fast mod I did...but I did it while the filter housing was off doing my build. That could help a lot too. I also had my HFCM replaced back in March and that made a noticeable difference in the truck running.

I'd do the trans first, jmo. Unless you're financially prepared to replace it if the added hp is too much. It would suck to spend two grand followed by being unprepared to spend 4 grand. That way you're in control of your bank accnt, not your truck. I guess my point is dont put all your eggs in the 'hope the trans holds up' basket.

I agree that it is definitely better to build the trans rather than just waiting for it to go. But, I don't think this combo will put down enough power to damage the trans. Then again, you never know what will happen. Built transmissions can fail too, ask me how I know.

Yes it has the blue spring and a new bpd 6 phase ficm.

I have extra cars to drive so if the trans took a dump later and I didn't have the money it could sit and wait.

Maybe I just have high expectations, it runs 14.40's leaving on no boost, if I try to spool it up to launch it just blows the tires off.

That sound about right for a tune only dually?
