06 Superduty SCT X3 - vehicle no supported?

Hey I just got a new X3 for my birthday. I went to plug it in today and load the tunes, but I get an error message with two codes on top - VXCF5H5 - top
and TQCK0T5 - bottom, then an error message that reads, vehicle not supported. I have the latest version of the software and everything, I even reinstalled them with the liveupdater, but still get the same error code. I got the unit from RPMoutlet.com. Im not sure If I need custome tunes for this truck or what the heck is going on, please help!

Those codes sound like your strategy. Is the unit new or used?

I'm pretty sure those are the codes the tuners need to make custom tunes for your truck. The canned tunes should work fine right out of the box. Sorry, I don't really know anymore. Hopefully, someone with a little more knowledge will be along shortly.

With the Xcal 3 there are 4 different ford ones. 3 have sets of canned tunes already on them and the other is a blank xcal for custom tuning. The 3 that are pre loadedwith canned tunes on them are different from each other because one has tunes loaded for gas cars, another for gas trucks and another for diesel trucks. You have to make sure you have the correct Xcal 3 for a diesel truck. If you can tell me the part number on the bottom front of the Xcal right under where it says FORD I can check to make sure it is the correct one for your truck.

Yea part #3000 is the blank tuner, your tuner has no pre programmed tunes on it. You need the one that is part #3040 for diesel trucks if you want just canned tunes. However the #3000 you can have programed but it will be a custom tune, maybe try to talk to a reputable diesel tuner and have them make you a custom file. Or not sure if the tuner you got was bought as a pre programmed device but I would talk to who you bought it from about that. Sorry if it is confusing and hope that was helpful, if I dealt with diesels I could help you out, but I only deal with mustang tuning for now.
