Getting an sct!

Dads trading in his 6.0 so guess who's getting his tuner. . What do I need to know about these tuners? He got his from liberator performance when he had it up there for the oil cooler and egr delete. I believe its an x3 because it doesn't have the canned tunes. Since its custom tunes I would need to get different tunes written in order to tune my truck with it correct?

That is correct but I wouldn't do any tuning unless you have a monitor for the truck and some supporting mods.

Be sure your dad returns his truck back to stock tune, so the SCT will be unlocked.

You will need new tunes, his strategies are written for a late 04 that start with VXB, you have the 05 and your strategy will be totally different starting with VXC.
