Programer hypertech

I know SCT is the best but I got a smoking deal on the hypertech max energy tuner. What is the best function to use to get the best mpg. I just bullet proofed my rig so it's go to go. Please help out what do you think...

Definitely update the device online before loading the tunes on your truck. I'm currently running on Stage 2, as I'm not yet bullet proofed and carry a heavy truck camper periodically.

I recall the best mileage from the Max Energy was on Stage 3 - assuming one can drive it like a civilized person

You can buy used unlocked SCTs on craigslist and ebay for $100-150. What you pay for the hypertech?

It should work fine for you. It's not as fancy as the SCT, and probably leaves a bit of performance "on the table" that the more costly tuners would make use of - but it will work fine. Just be sure to update it via the internet before you load the tunes.
