PPE?

PPE users. Good, Bad, Other. Anything you can tell me. I know everybody loves the SCT. PPE is the tuner I ordered so what ever you can tell me about it?

I think thats the tuner that claims really high HP & torque at the flywheel not the rear wheels. Haven't heard much about it on this site but heres a bump for ya.

i installed sevaral PPE's on 6.0L PSD's and the only complaint yet is the back tires don't wear very good..LOL.most guys gain roughly 2.3MPG and the hp #'s are rated at the crank but you should see mid 400's if not uptowards 475RWHP with the right amount of fuel and air on the high setting..

uptowards 475 rwhp with a ppe programmer? there are 6.0's with custom tuned sct's upgraded turbo and injectors not hitting much more than that, if that! in some cases. where do get those rwhp number from???

I think any programer if they wanted too could pump those numbers out, but the key is doing it relatively safely.

like i said with the right amount of fuel and air...
for instance my LBZ duramax has the PPE and here about 4 months ago i dynoed it with a 350HP at the crank tune and could only get 425rwhp with the only mod the PPE and exhaust but since then i installed a turbo booster and lift pumps(ya it's tons faster)and now i feel confident i have somewhere around 470 to 490RWHP range(if not more but i doupt it since my tranny is still stock)but i don't have real dyno #'s to back it up..

that is something to consider too. i have seen a few sigantures of members here with quite a bit of money invested into thier trucks and they arent laying down that much, or not much more than 475rwhp. thats all i'm saying.

i do know that a PPE tuned 6.0L with the lift pumps made my LBZ work a little to beat him so i was highly impressed by the smooth power all thru out the gears..

PPE has a chip avalible for the 01 thru 03 7.3L PSD.
