SCT Livewire
I just got a bangin deal on a Livewire on Ebay. Not what I wanted but it came out cheaper than an x2 so I had to buy it. Does anyone have any experience with the Livewire and if so what are the good tunes/tuners for this unit. I basically have to keep the factory exhaust but I have a cold air intake and pyrometer. Any suggestions on tunes?
Didn't take long on this forum to get converted from a DiabloSport Predator. You guys are relentless. |

Check with DJ's or innovative. They are two I can think of off the top of my head.

I was just on the sct forum and it looks a lot like the predator forum. Lots of people with lots of problems. Hopefully this thing works.

It works - there are just a few bugs they've been trying to work out. After I upgraded my firmware on mine I've got a couple issue I need to call them about. I've been just too busy to mess with it. But from a custom tune standpoint it's working fine. Monitoring is where mine is now screwed up - oh and my canned tunes have a strange issue as well.
If they can get the kinks worked out it'll be great......... |

If the monitoring part is screwed up, then why would anyone want to pay $400 more for a LiveWire vs X3? I'm glad I didn't go with the LW. The monitoring features are why people pay the extra dollars for it in the first place. I think it will be awesome when they get all the bugs out, but until then it's just another cool looking worthless gadget sitting on the dash.

I just got my Livewire and the canned tunes really aren't that good, not even up to par with Bully Dog tunes powerwise. The shifting is a vast improvement though. I payed 350 for mine so it was a good buy and I really don't care about the monitor (good thing because it doesn't work anyway). One question I have that I don't see in the manual is can I disconnect this thing after I load a tune? I really don't want to leave this thing plugged in if the monitoring doesn't work.
