For 700+hp?
A Powermax won't get you there...even with upgraded injectors. You'd be looking at HUGE amounts of modding to get anywhere close to there (injectors, turbo, tranny, fuel system, tuning, etc.) Big bucks... |

I had about $20k in my '03 and i might have been close to 500. I had 99% of the supporting mods that would get you to 700. Big arse injectors, the right turbo, and some water/meth and I would have been close to 700. I would say that $25k-$30k will get you there. Also that new trans that you have, if its not BTS, Suncoast, etc you can kiss it goodbye.

Forgot to add this part. The big money that you will have to spend won't be making 700 rwhp it will be in making the truck last at 700 rwhp. You can make 700 easy and fairly cheap, for maybe one run.

Yeah, you'd need to upgrade pretty much everything on your rig to get the performance/reliability you need to make/support 700+.
What you need to do is set a more realistic goal at first (say 400hp) and then build up from there as time and the pockets permit. |

good luck getting a 5r110 to stay together at 700 hp. id look into going with a 4r100. and yes ever built the 5r wont hold very well. ive seen to many of them break.

This is highly inaccurate. The 5R behind a 6.0 holds just fine when built by the right person. There are 800hp+ trucks running the 5R still and no issues. The 4R isnt the only solution. for 700 on fuel you're going to need at least a trans before long, minimum 225's and compounds or a larger single, and a deep wallet. |
