More turbo whistle

I want more turbo whistle. I know I can get an exhaust and hear the turbo but what I am wanting is more whistle from under the hood. You know semi sound. Just wondering if there is anything I can do.

Three things...Foil delete, Air Raid Throttle Body Spacer and huge air filter like a DIY Napa 6637. All three will give you more whistle.

Foil delete also doesn't work.

Try removing the hood isulation as well as the sound insulation under the dash. Both will increase sound in the cab... but once you do that... you're stuck that way!

The BEST whistle is from an '03 turbo, but you have to change the pedastal. Now THAT's some whistle.

03 to an 06 turbo, that main difference is that the 03 has one more blade.. how 1 can create THAT much more sound, I wonder. but to me, it's worth changing. buy the unit Discount Power is selling- 1450 plus core charge AND it's louder and more power hungry than the 03 turbos. win win!!

03 turbo has 10 exhaust side impellers and the 06 has 15. 03' to 07' garret vgt's have 9 vanes. I think, THINK, 9/29/04 to job 1 2005's have 13 impellers.

my opinion, powerstrokes don't make much "semi sound". Only psd's i've heard that sound like a "semi" have stacks. If you want whistle do a turbo back exhaust. less restriction the better.
