Upgrades, tips, tricks, parts?

Ok so this weekend I'll be pulling the cab to do,

arp head studs w/oem head gaskets, new oil cooler and a egr delete.

I was just reading about the blue spring deal and I'll order that up from the dealer as well and install while im there.

I'll be using all factory gaskets for everything.

My questions is is they're anything else i should do for upgrades or reliability to the truck while im right there with the cab off??

The truck will get a sct custom tune from someone havent decided yet but nothing crazy just more performance and fuel mileage with reliability type stuff aka I'll be staying stock turbo and fuel injectors.

Thanks

Sounds like you got it all covered. Might as well change oil, and filters while in there.

Also may want to look into a inline coolant filter since you will be draining the coolant anyway. Its next on my list of things to do.

Yea I think I'll order the sinister coolant filter deal....are they really worth it?

What's the upgraded oil tube deal? Where do I get that? How's that all work out and what's the reason?

FYI the trucks a

2003 f350 single rear wheel 4x4

Turbo was replaced by dealer at 97,000 miles in 2007 truck has 198,000 now pretty sure it's still a 2003 turbo though guessing by the loud whistle out of my 4" straight pipe off stock downpipe ill double check the part number when we pull it out though (also thinking a 4" downpipe would be a good idea??)

to do

I would do a full coolant system flush with the Restore products prior to tear down. Then when you get her all buttoned up you can refill the system with fresh new Cat rated coolant. This may help keep your new oil cooler from clogging up when doing a flush post work. This is somethin I wished I would've done prior to my work. $.02

Here is an upgraded Ford part 3C3Z-9A332-AA I came across...Had a post on here trying to find out if it is worth it or others have had issues, haven't heard anything back yet but maybe someone will see it on yours and help us both out...Ford 6.0 Stand Pipes 2003-Early 2004 F250, F350, F450, F550 International VT365 Also you could do the 6.4 banjo bolts or do the Driven Diesel Regulated return kit instead. Pretty sweet setup and having the cab off would be the perfect time to do it!
