AIRDOG2 CARNAGE UPDATE!!!!! PLEASE READ!!

Well it looks like there is a update. I sent PUREFLOW a email explaining what Rich and I found in the other thread but I felt it was very important to update you all!! they told me to call them after my email asking why they fail and explained what we found and Rich and I where right!! 2 GROOVES in the shaft are from the seal going bad and grooving shaft from the high pressure the fords run at. Fuel then leaks into armature area and bam smokes it! HE EXPLAINED TO ME THERE INDEED IS A UPDATED PUMP AND THE UPDATE IS THIS SEAL AND SHAFT! He asked me my serial number and promptly sent it to me with no return of old pump as seal and shaft is bad!! I asked him if the other customers that I installed them on can call him to get new design pump and he said absolutely!! So there ya go guys problem is solved!! they stand behind there product!!! WAY TO GO PUREFLOW!!!

JUST THE DF-165

My buddy had that happen on his AD2 on his 06 D-Max. He didn't get his warrantied because it was on the truck when he bought it and the original owner never sent the card in anyway. They told him the same thing, it was a shaft and seal issue. They sold him the updated pump for a discounted price of $200 and hasn't had an issue since. I've got one but need the filter block, wiring and fuel lines to install.

I read on another forum, the member was told by Kyle at Pureflow, August was the updated pump release.

Wonder if they updated the other pumps before the Power Stroke pumps? They told him his was updated and that was before August.
