Should I run a water/meth set up?
I have a 2005 excursion. Only mods are airraid intake(came with the truck when I bought it) 4" exhaust with no cat, SCT tuner with Looney tune( had to send my livewire in for repairs and have not ran a tune yet)
This is my daily driver and get about 17 MPGs if I run 65-70 MPH. Would I benifit runing a water meth system? Im not really concerned about making power but with MPGs. I would run just plain washer fluid. What size nozzle and what kit would you recommend? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com App |

This page is their kit listed as "Diesel MPG/Max":
This one is listed as the best option for MPG as it's designed for continuous injection controlled by boost/egt through the controller it comes with. Check it out. Snow Performance : Diesel MPG-MAX You may consider calling them, giving them your setup and see what they recommend. I think both kits would be a good solution for what you're looking for. Thanks. I'm not looking to spend that kind if $$$! The devils own kit has a switch to where you set it at a certian boost PSI

I undersatnd it is alot of money but the other kits are not really designed for daily driving... trust me I run a snow stage 2 kit with a 7 GALLON tank and gan drain it in no time if I use it for DD. the stage 3 kit has a third nozzle that is very small and progressivley injects the W/M based on boost and EGT

After reading that info on that page, I'd definitely consider the Diesel MPG Max. Sure it may be $1,000 up front but the savings in gas in the long run would be awesome!!!
Gary, how many nozzles does your kit come with? I know my No Limit CAC is coming with 3 threaded ports, 1 for boost and my plan was to have the other two for water meth if needed. |

I believe that Devils own can SURELY provide you with a smaller nozzle to help with MPG... If I am to run a W/M, which I plan on, I will be looking at Devils Own, and Cooling Mist brands very closely and doing my research if they will work before cashing out 1k for some highly overpriced name.
The "Snow" kit is just priced like that because of the name. Just like expensive name brand shoes LOL |
