How to smoke?
Now that I have your attention, after the latest couple of these have popped up, I think a revamp of attitude towards the subject is in order.
I replied to a thread and gave the reasons the person wasn't seeing the smoke, as usual the flame gang jumped in and left a bad taste in the guys mouth, sometimes these threads are honestly from someone who doesn't know, and at first should be given the benefit of the doubt. We all have had the honeymoon phase at first and it happens, I done it myself and looking back, I feel like a total fecal discharge chute. Now, either of our trucks can fly and not fog someone out. What I am getting at is when these pop up, explain decently why it is not kosher and that in time you will see why. And for the smoke switch threads, explain the same thing and that the person asking will not be told how to do it. I understand the feelings especially with the extreme pecker association bearing down, but showing your hind end ain't the way to go about it. When I got my truck, I came here vs the alternative because it seemed like there re good folks with great info, not what these threads bring out. |

your probably right.......

That is why we tend to close those threads rather quickly.

Closing that weird guys recent Troll posts is ok.
But I agree that closing the threads quickly does not resolve the issue either.. That action doesn't tell them what they need to know/learn about smoke, just shuts them up and make them bitter towards the members. Atleast one person should come out in the beginning and explain the what, how, and why not to smoke these trucks... THEN, if the OP is still stuck on smoking everyone out on the road, we can all bash him

People blowin coal kills the diesel performance industry, but in the same breath, we know we have all done it. We know that smoke is a sign of an inefficient burn and is a waste of fuel, but tuners still release tunes that smoke like there's no tomorrow. As long as there are d-bags that want to roll coal everywhere we will have the Epa on our back.
I hate seeing people blowin coal everywhere, but flaming a new guy will not fix it. Bazinga! |

I agree that telling them why not to do it is much better then just bashing them so they go somewhere else for the info and does it. teach them the right way. Just my thought.

Troll... GTFO! Get a life you are annoying scum.
Rich, I posted before he was here. He is not part of my conversation/ explanation. I am talking about the guys that come on here for the first time with a misunderstanding of how things work and just wants to roll coal. Yes, it's wrong, but I will admit I have been pretty mean to them in the past. I'm just saying maybe kdogg85 is right about giving the newbies a chance to understand

Seriously, though, I agree with kdogg that we gotta be nice to the misguided souls that think blowing smoke is cool |
