Which AFE intake???

Ok, time to ditch the OEM intake.
Im tired of having to fight with it everytime I need to remove it.
Also, I have damn near broken all the clips.
I have an AFE DRY drop in filter right now.
I love these AFE dry filters.

Which AFE intake do you have?
Pros and Cons?
Seems like they make about 5 options for our trucks.
I am leaning towards the sealed top box with the lexan.

I am pretty much done with mods on the truck besides building my fuel system.
I dont plan on ever going with bigger sticks or turbo.
I do a lot of towing around town, and my current combo kicks @$$, super low EGT, TONS of low end grunt. Pulls 15k off the launch ramp with ease. Not to mention gets around 15mpg leveled with 35's.

Prob just brand bud, afe is local to us so we can just go direct and get stuff from them. My 2 buddies wheeled n dealed with afe and actually got theirs for cheaper than what I got mine for.

Sweet! I just noticed AFE has a plethora of styles available. I really like he enclosed version they have along with S&B. Still not sure but I may roll with the S&B. Sorry for the derail...lol

Why? Just personal preference or is there something you like about the S&B over the AFE? I'm asking because I'm looking to get an air intake myself

Fantom, I'm only going off suggestions from this forum. It appears the big difference between the AFE and the S&B is the ability to see the filter.

Odawg, is that your truck? I'm fixing to paint both my boost tubes orange but that manifold looks sick too!!!

I passed on buying an S&B for $100 because I said "I don't need an intake, the stocker is good for 500hp" now I've got a mad turbo on the way and injectors soon and it's looking like the stock air intake ain't gonna cut it....way to go, dummy
