Turbo Bag
anyone ever used a "Turbo Bag" or what ive seen them called. its basically a "wrap" for a turbo. always saw them and heard good things in the Subaru world when i had my STI because of quicker spool and cooler under hood temps. any thoughts about this and wrapping the downpipe?

turbo blanket, I have run them in cars in the past.
100% helps with underhood temps. Wrapping the DP is good, it keeps it hotter. The hotter it is the faster the exhaust gases will flow. |

All the turbo blankets I have seen are for the T3/T4 based turbos. Will they fit out Garrett turbo? If not does anybody make a turbo blanket for the Garrett? I would like to run one.

I haven't seen one specifically for the Variable Geometry turbine housing. That doesn't mean you won't find one that works, but the VGT turbine housing is somewhat larger than a lot of T3/T4 housings.

Right now that's what my only turbo bag looks like. It doesn't hold in the heat and it's getting scorched. Besides, it just looks silly and I'm embarrassed to open my hood.
