SCT or Bullydog?

I've read some discussion before and it seems like the crowd favorite is SCT. Can anyone give me specific reasons for preferring it over Bullydog?

Thanks!

I ran both and trust me the SCT is the only way to go. Shifting and all out POWER are two things that come to mind. The options you have with SCT and custom tunes allow you to do almost anything you want. BullyDog you're stuck with canned tunes.

Oh hell, just go with the Bullydog! The last thing we need is another SCT owner strutting around here boasting about how great custom tuning is!

Actually I run SCT and have been around enough of the others to know that I wouldn't have anything else! The results from the diesel tuner shootout prove it, the timeslips prove it and owners everywhere agree it's the way to go.

I started my post the way I did because people must get tired of hearing us all praise the SCT. It's actually not SCT themselves that we rave about but rather the individual custom tuners that supply our tunes. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, get the SCT. You will make more power with less smoke (overall) and lower EGTs than Bullydog. You will also get better shifting if you have an auto tranny.

I've never used an SCT but the BullyDog Triple Dog is rough on a transmission. I had one for a while and got rid of it because the shifting was harsh and erratic. The powerband was too high as well. Not much down low and then all of a sudden the engine would scream. I hated it... would never get one again
